Background

Mr. Everett was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from John Carroll University and his Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles.

Mr. Everett’s legal experience includes successful litigation of workers’ compensation matters before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board; resolution of claims of serious injury; defense of claims for discrimination under Labor Code section 132a; advice and counseling on issues of workplace injury or disability of employees; and conducting workplace investigations.

In addition to matters before the WCAB, Mr. Everett has successfully represented employers before other state agencies, including the EEOC, the DFEH, the Labor Commissioner, and the Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board. Further, as an employment law attorney for nearly four years, he has also litigated employment matters in civil court, representing both employers and insurance companies.

Mr. Everett founded CBE Law Group in 2015 and after growing it into the successful practice that it is, in 2026, he stepped back from ownership and management in order to focus on other ventures.

Currently, Mr. Everett splits time residing between Los Angeles and Italy, with his wife and sons. He enjoys travelling, film, and despite moving to California in 2000, he remains an avid Cleveland sports fan.
